Ribs and Regeneration!!!

Human Ribcage

Did you know that our ribs have the capacity to regenerate? Ribs are commonly removed during surgery when bone material is required for grafting in other parts of the body. Eve, the first woman, was created by God from a rib that was taken out of Adam. “And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.  - Genesis2:21,22”

It kind of gives new meaning to the verse, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. - Isaiah 55:8" Now imagine if the ribs didn't have the power to regenerate Adam would have been incomplete and someone would have claimed that he was not perfectly created.

Eve's creation from the rib of Adam symbolized her relationship with him. She was taken out of man and hence she was called woman. She was created from his rib and hence meant to be by his side (since your ribs are on your side). She was meant to be close to his heart (ribs are) and under his arm (dependent on him).

Now isn’t that amazing?
